The Rockdale County Public Schools Foundation was proudly represented during Leadership Rockdale’s Education Day, held as part of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce’s 2025–2026 Leadership Rockdale cohort.

Susan Paul Smith, Foundation Board Member and community champion, and Tracy Knutsen, Executive Administrator of the RCPS Foundation, joined education leaders and participants for a full day of learning, collaboration, and insight into the impact of public education in Rockdale County.

Leadership Rockdale’s Education Day highlights the inner workings of the local school system, including school visits, presentations from district leadership, and in-depth discussions about education policy, student achievement, and community partnerships. The RCPS Foundation was invited to speak about its mission, programs, and the role it plays in supporting Rockdale students and teachers.

“We’re honored to be part of a leadership program that values the role education plays in shaping our community,” said Board Chair Susan Paul Smith. “It was a powerful opportunity to share the Foundation’s work—and to connect with others who care deeply about Rockdale’s future.”

As the philanthropic arm of the school system, the RCPS Foundation raises funds for scholarships, teacher grants, and recognition programs that reward and support excellence throughout the district. Participation in Leadership Rockdale reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to transparency, collaboration, and strategic community engagement.

Thank you to the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and Rockdale County Public Schools for hosting this impactful day of learning—and for allowing the Foundation to be part of such a meaningful experience.
