During the past 25 years – a quarter century – the Rockdale County Foundation for Excellence in Education has provided numerous opportunities over the years to enhance student education in our County with support from countless citizens and businesses. Started as a collaborative between the school system and the Chamber of Commerce, the Foundation’s sole purpose is to fund educational programs and projects not supported by the Rockdale County Public Schools general budget.
After 25 years of service, the Foundation is stronger than ever and poised to work harder to help sustain excellence in public education in Rockdale County. As we move into our 26th year of supporting excellence in education, we are focusing our efforts on creating a Call to Action to the community and our corporate neighbors to help us advocate for public education in Rockdale County Public Schools. Since the Foundation began in 1988, we have provided more than $1 million in grants to support teachers in our public schools.
The Foundation is a positive force for public education and we believe our work is more critical today than ever before.
